What I Love About Denver Botanical Gardens
Denver Botanic Gardens is No. 1 on Trip Advisor’s list of 224 Things to Do in Denver for good reason: five innovative and distinctive gardens featuring diverse plants from all corners of the world; ever-changing, eclectic art exhibitions; a booming concert series; and educational seminars and camps all summer long. Another major asset: the Shop at the Gardens. This-jam-packed gem is carefully curated to reflect sustainability, diversity, relevance and local flavor. On a recent visit I bought a gaggle of small bowls to give as hostess gifts, some flower seeds for my son (he begged) and a beautiful handcrafted bowl by Louisville, Colorado, ceramicist Rita Vali. I’ll be back soon for two large patio planters.
