Scandinavian rooms are often white as snow and produce the same mood-lifting effect as being outside in it. It makes sense: Their winter months don’t see much sunshine, so the need for creating a bright, calming environment is paramount. Natural surfaces (wood, stone, cement), wood furniture, and mostly monochrome hues with occasional bits of color do the trick. These pieces add a spark of Scandinavian style wherever you put them.
