Spring Plant Sale at Denver Botanic Gardens is the perfect place to channel that energy, offering a thoughtfully curated selection of plants suited to Colorado’s unique climate.

Held at the York Street location May 8 and 9, this annual event features a wide array of perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables and more—many grown right in the Gardens’ own greenhouses. Expect to find pollinator-friendly favorites, vibrant blooms and resilient varieties chosen by horticulturists who understand what thrives along the Front Range. Whether you’re building a balcony container garden or replacing your lawn with native plants, you’ll find exactly what you’re seeking.

Gardens horticulturists will be onsite to answer questions, offer planting tips and help you choose the right additions for your space. It’s a rare opportunity to get tailored advice while you shop. Got indoor spaces only? Be sure to visit the houseplant and succulents divisions and bring a touch of green inside. The Shop at the Gardens will be open as well, stocked with tools, containers and accents to complement your finds.

For those eager to get first pick, the ticketed Preview Party offers early access in a relaxed, festive setting with drinks and appetizers. Admission to the sale is free, with advance registration required. Spring Plant Sale runs May 8 and 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Preview Party is May 7 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Members get 10 percent off all purchases.
