A Quaint Mountain Shop

Take a departure from the high-end, overpriced mountain decor shops, and pop into 714 Home in Edwards, a cozy storefront providing a blend of affordable accessories with a casual, eclectic feel.

Owner Kelly Newman combines vintage and new pieces that have a timeless, non-fussy quality. I popped in to buy some accessories for our basement bar and walked out the door with four incredible pieces, all for under $100. Pretty crazy, especially considering I was shopping in the Vail Valley.

“I wanted to provide a little community shop for our locals and second-home owners where they could pick up a quick gift or small accessory,” says Newman. “I’m a little bit all over the place, but I source items that no one else carries, things that are different than the usual mountain decor. Everyone’s been at home so much over the past year that they want to feel comfy and cozy.”

I especially love Newman’s curated collection of pet-themed accessories, my favorite sign stating, “My Dog and I Talk Shit About You.”
