What the Elways and Usher Have to do with Childhood Type 1 Diabetes
This October 2, the 29th Carousel Ball will not only be a night to remember, but it will also be an opportunity to provide the children struggling with type 1 diabetes the best chance for a healthy today and hope for their future.
The Ball is presented by the Children’s Diabetes Foundation to benefit the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, the leading center for type 1 diabetes in America. The Center’s work in clinical care and research is crucial in its efforts to find a cure for this life-threatening disease. Currently, over 30 million people in the country live with diabetes and one in three babies born today will have this disease in their lifetime. Supporting this organization will enable the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes to continue providing care to over 6,000 children and young adults from around the world, and 75 percent from the Rocky Mountain region, while searching for a cure.
