A master bathroom designed for lingering
A master bathroom should be a place of refuge—a calm, serene space to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our clients for this project wanted their master bathroom to feel open and inviting, while at the same time offering distinctive features reminiscent of a spa experience.
The beautiful decorative tile inlays in the center of the room and on the wall leading into the walk-in closet add interest and personality to the space. The marbled floor tile sets off the Iron Ore finished cabinets beautifully, and helps tie the entire bathrooms color palate together.
The bath and shower are separated by the tile dividers, helping to segment to the space, while keeping everything open and airy. The curb-less shower has floor to ceiling tile, offering a beautifully enclosed space that is necessary for the steam functionality (a must have in our dry Colorado environment).
The tub (shown above) is sleek and elegant, but not too contemporary—a perfect match for the rest of the bathrooms aesthetic. The cabinet and shelves offer just enough storage for all of our clients’ bath accessories, and the bench seat gives them a nice place to sit while they wait for their bath to fill.
The main part of this bathroom features a wide double vanity, which provides ample storage. Wall mounted faucets and Robern vanity mirrors help keep the overall look clean and sleek, again striking a good transitional balance. The Robern mirrors have very good/even lighting, and the temperature of the lights can be adjusted between very warm and cool to offer the perfect kind of light for our clients’ preference. The finish on the vanity, Iron Ore, is the standout here offering inspiration for the backsplash and floor tile.
