One of my favorite surprises during the early days of quarantine was a cheese board on my front doorstep, gifted by my friend Lindsay.

Wander + Graze put together this charcuterie delight. The company, founded in 2019 by Shelby Jonse, delivers thoughtfully crafted grazing boards for the Colorado community (she serves the entire Denver metro area, including Boulder and Parker), using entirely compostable or reusable materials, and (mostly) organic, local produce, meats and cheeses.

“Grazing boards were on trend even before COVID-19, because they’re a nice way to bring people together around eating without a sit-down meal,” she says. “They’re great for casual meet-ups, without being a whole production.”

Her board was a delight of color and presentation, and I went a bit gaga for the crackers, made by Flouwer Co., another Colorado-based, female-owned company. The crackers are light, salty, and full of edible flowers and garden herbs. Crazy, right? Throw in the unique fruits from Jonse, such as kumquats, dragonfruit and lychees, and you have an exotic offering that’s elegant and inviting.

Date Night Boxes start at $40; Crudité, Charcuterie, Fruit & Cheese, and Antipasto boards range from $60 to $150.
