This August, Denver’s Summer Art Market Marks Its 33rd Year
Enjoy the end of the season with vibrant art showcased by 200 Colorado creators.
As we near the end of summer, we’re still looking for fun ways to soak up the sunshine. From August 22 through August 23, Denverites and locals from around the state will come together in the name of art at the 33rd Summer Art Market presented by the Art Students League of Denver (ASLD). The Denver-based nonprofit has empowered people to experience the joy of art in their own way since 1987.
“The Summer Art Market brings people together in a hands-on, face-to-face way,” says ASLD Executive Director Rachel Basye in a recent press release. “Each artist may be taking individual classes or working in their personal studio, but when everyone is here together at the market, it’s fun to feel that communal atmosphere; connecting not only with collectors and neighbors but also with other artists.”
Art mediums showcased include painting, ceramics, photography, sculpture, fiber art, metalsmithing and more by up-and-coming and established artists. The event also keeps the kiddos engaged with a hands-on KidArt area, as well as food and drink vendors.
Additional event information and ticket registration are available on ASLD’s website.
