The Vail Jazz Festival is in Full Swing
What to expect from the rest of the 2021 season this summer

The Vail Jazz Festival is back in action. Now in it’s 27th year, the Festival brings an all-star lineup of world-class jazz musicians to Vail now through Labor Day weekend.
On Thursday evenings in Lionshead Village, several sub genres of jazz are presented over eight weeks under the Jazz Tent. The clear-ceiling tent stands all summer, and comes alive on performance evenings with the sounds of live music, applause and laughter.
Vail Jazz at Solaris
New to the Festival this year are free Sunday evening concerts in the heart of Vail Village on the Solaris Plaza. Vail Jazz brings local and regional acts to perform outdoors on beautiful Colorado evenings, the perfect way to prolong the weekend.
As a way to bring focus to young emerging musicians and provide them the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences, the opening acts for the Sunday shows are various student jazz bands from across the state.
The grand finale of both the Vail Jazz Festival and the beautiful Colorado summer season, the Vail Jazz Party features a jam-packed lineup with several headliners that join together to play in group performances, multi-artist jam sessions, and inspiring tributes to jazz legends.
Vail Jazz Party features a House Band with John Clayton, Dick Oatts, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Bill Cunliffe, and Lewis Nash. With over 35 hours of jazz music, the Vail Jazz Party has cemented its reputation as the premier Labor Day weekend event!
