Bar Helix pairs killer seasonal cocktails with experiential sweet and savory bites

Denver’s own “Swirl Girl” Kendra Anderson has added another title to her name in addition to sommelier, chef, and entrepreneur: bar owner. The food and booze “soulmate finder” launched her first concept, a sultry new cocktail lounge in Denver’s RiNo called Bar Helix, a concept that's sleek, modern, a bit masculine, a little naughty and a lot sexy.

Part bar, part lounge and part restaurant, Bar Helix is focused on killer cocktails seasonally inspired and made with wine-based spirits and paired with “experiential” sweet and savory small plate offerings for the perfect food and beverage “soulmate" match. A menu of beer, cider and sake round out the libations, and of course, you can also expect to see highly approachable, by-the-glass wines from unique producers and lesser-known regions targeted to adventurous guests, all served in an upscale space with a grand bar, open kitchen, inviting community tables, a mix of banquettes and settees for more intimate seating. 

A high top community table seating eight greets guests at the door, while the sleek grand bar topped with white quartz draws guests into the space with the backlit “bubbly” front, reminiscent of champagne bubbles. Small round tables with intimate seating flank the folding glass nanawall opening to the small courtyard patio, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. The lounge-like back area at Bar Helix boasts a private booth, standing drink rails and low coffee-table seating area done in shades of cognac, rose gold and black, perfect for cozy conversation and intimate assignations.
