The Coolest Rooftop Deck in Aspen
Inside Dancing Bear Aspen's new Mountainside building
The folks at Dancing Bear, a private residence club operated by Timbers Resorts, invited us to look at their under-construction new Mountainside building (it’s connected to its sister property by Aspen’s first underground walkway) so we could have a gander at what they’re offering. But frankly, if we had our pick, we’d live on the rooftop deck which is, seriously, the best spot for a soak or cocktail or a full on afternoon nap in Aspen.
Here, the facts.

1. HASSLE-FREE
You can enjoy all the cache, fun, and natural bliss that comes with a residence in Aspen as well as a built-in community without any of the hassles of home ownership.

2. TLC TO THE TENTH POWER
You don’t need to worry about schlepping your gear through airports, or transportation once you’re in town, or stocking the larder or the wine cellar or making reservations. Or, well, just about anything because the Dancing Bear staff will pick you up at the airport, have your larder stocked and make any dinner reservations you need. The property has lockers for your skis, etc. when you’re away. And while you’re in town, there’s a room for everything you need—a play space with toys for the kiddos, a video spot for gamers, a fully-equipped gym, a screening room and wine cellar where owners can throw an elegant dinner party or store their stash in a dedicated space.

3. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
The Dancing Bear properties are in the heart of town, a short walk or shuttle ride to anywhere you’d want to go. One of Aspen’s best restaurants, The Monarch, is in the lobby and a healthy, gourmet breakfast buffet with attendant chef awaits every morning on the rooftop glass lounge.

4. YOU CAN SHARE YOUR SHARE (AND BE SHARED WITH IN RETURN)
Residences are 2000 square-feet of state-of-the-art design, top-of -the line living, all corner residences with views. All layouts are offer three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. The third bedroom of each residence can be totally blocked off as its own separate entity so that residents can make it available for other owners who are looking to bunk down outside of their reserved weeks and return the favor when they’re in town or need a bit more space. In this way, Dancing Bear residents enjoy a positive sharing relationship with their neighbors.

5. UP ON THE ROOF
Hot tubs, cocktails, sunsets, star watching, and full frontal Aspen Mountain. If there’s a better hang out spot apres whatever turns you on, we’d love to see it.
