A Benefit for the Denver Hospice
Join The Denver Hospice for a day of art, famous faces, and a good cause! Tickets are now on sale for The Denver Hospice’s biennial event, The Mask Project Luncheon. On Wednesday, September 28 at 11:30 am, the Seawell Grand Ballroom will set the scene for the luncheon, featuring key-note speaker Mitch Albom.
A columnist for The Detroit Free Press since 1985 and a panelist on ESPN’s The Sports Reporters, Albom has been named the nation’s foremost sports columnist 13 times by Associated Press editors. A gifted memoirist and novelist, as well, he has penned six consecutive New York Times best-sellers.

The Mask Project was founded in 1998 to capture the imagination of Coloradans with a unique fundraiser. The unconventional art auction features custom created masks by celebrities, sports figures, politicians, and artists. Featured faces include Robert Redford, Michelle Obama, Luke Bryant, Bon Jovi, Dale Chihuly, Von Miller, Governor Hickenlooper, Walter Isenberg and many more. Since its inception, the Mask Project has generated upwards of $4.5 million in support for hospice and palliative care for The Denver Hospice.

Highlights of the 2016 Mask Project include masks signed by Olympic gold-medalists Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky, and British anthropologist and conservationist Jane Goodall.

Additionally, there are masks designed by Colorado natives Cynthia Duff, and exotic animal veterinarian and self-taught artist Sara Anger.

The 500 masks gallery will be available for viewing at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center from September 12 to October 9, 2016. The masks will be available for bidding through an online auction at www.themaskproject.org.
