The 2017 Carousel Ball kickoff party gathered friends and supporters of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation for an evening of fun, food and fundraising.
On May 17, 2017, former Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan and his wife Peggy hosted the pre-event party at their lovely home in Cherry Hills. Guests enjoyed tasty bites and beverages, mingled, and even had the chance to bid on tickets to the 2017 US Open and Neil Diamond 50th anniversary tour concert tickets.

It has been 40 years since Barbara and Marvin Davis started the Children’s Diabetes Foundation, and 2017 marks the 31st Carousel Ball. The Carousel Balls, biennial events in Denver, have raised more than $100 million since 1977. Proceeds from the events benefit the programs, care, and research at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes (BDC), where thousands of children and adults from across the world receive treatment.
The 2017 event features a special performance by renowned rock musician Lenny Kravitz, and will honor Sharon Magness Blake and Ernie Blake as the High Hopes Tribute Award Recipients.
You’re invited to join the cause and attend this fabulous event! Mark your calendars for Saturday October 7, 2017. Purchase tickets here!
