The 2018 MAME Awards Event
The annual event honors outstanding achievements in new home sales, marketing, merchandising, design, production and delivery
The 2018 HBA Sales and Marketing Council MAME Awards were held at the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts on November 10th. MAME Chair Carrie Firmine and MAME Co-Chair Kate Pourhassanian welcomed guests to the program as everyone took their seats for the event.
The MAME Award is the highest recognition bestowed by the Home Building Industry on individuals, companies and communities for outstanding achievements in new home sales, marketing, merchandising, design, production and delivery.
In addition to announcing the winners of the 50+ awards, the event honored Steven W. James, AIA, with the Legend Award. James is a founding partner of DTJ Design, Inc. and offers notable expertise in innovative community design solutions for amenitized residential, resort and mixed-use developments, and cutting-edge design for single-family, active adult and multifamily products and amenity buildings.
Jeff Whiton, CEO of HBA of Metro Denver, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 MAME Awards. Whiton will retire at the end of 2018, capping off a 45-year career serving the home building industry. A recognized leader and the former Colorado President of U.S. Home (Lennar) and Regional General Manager for KB Home over Colorado and New Mexico, Whiton has built a reputation for turnaround quality and operational control as the development leader behind more than 20,000 homes and 10,000 acres of multi-use development throughout 100+ communities.
