The 2017 HBA CARE Awards Gala

On the evening of Thursday, September 28, 2017, the best in Colorado home design gathered for the 2017 Colorado Awards for Remodeling Excellence, known as the CARE Awards, presented by the Remodelers Council of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver. Over 140 guests attended the ceremony, which was held at CU Denver South (formerly The Wildlife Experience) and included a cocktail and networking hour, delicious plated dinner, a lively awards presentation, and a dessert and coffee networking session after the ceremony.

The Awards honor achievements in both commercial and residential remodeling, recognizing architects, builders, designers, and other professionals in the Metro Denver area who have demonstrated exemplary work in the remodeling capacity. They are the largest awards ceremony in Colorado focusing specifically on the remodeling industry, and the longest-running contest recognizing remodeling of all types, both commercial and residential. Categories are numerous and include kitchens, bathrooms, specialty rooms, and more. Unlike other HBA-sponsored design contests, the CARE Awards are open not just to members of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, but to the entire Colorado remodeling industry. The awards are judged blind by local volunteers—including Colorado Homes & Lifestyles' own Senior Editor & Writer Michelle Johnson—making it a fair competition that recognizes excellence in remodeling above all else.
