How I wish I had known about Tandem Arbor when I was trying to buy a sofa last year. It took eight months to deliver and still isn’t the correct size because I had to go with the retail store’s set dimensions instead of what I actually needed.

Fortunately, Tandem Arbor is changing that narrative. Founder Jana Garvin Linderoth, a 30-something Denver native, began her career as a retail designer in New York City for fashion brands such as Catherine Malandrino, Isaac Mizrahi, Burton and Adidas, but she struggled with finding furniture in the right style, size and colors needed for these shops. So Garvin turned to a North Carolina factory and started manufacturing pieces directly based on her specifications.

Soon Garvin had customers asking for custom pieces for their homes, and her new business was born—providing online customers the chance to design affordable, functional creations with the perfect fit and feel for their space. During COVID, Garvin decided to move back to Denver and expand her exclusive bespoke collection from her home state. Keep a lookout for a Tandem Arbor pop-up to arrive in Denver this spring.
