Pops of Pink
Infusing fun into a casual sweater ensemble

Turtlenecks, cable knits and crewnecks galore–it’s time to break out that reliable sweater that’s been eyeing you since the last snowfall. Each autumn I giddily await the opportunity to wear my collection of soft, cozy and effortless pullovers.
While running errands, I threw together this casual fit: A hot-pink sweater with cropped black jeans, pointed-toe white loafers and vintage hand-me-down Coach crossbody.
As mentioned, I like to incorporate my own spin on what’s on-trend due to my nature of leaning into classic styles. The neon-hue fad is one that I’ve had somewhat of a difficult time hopping onboard, but have found a few clever ways to partake.
One of them is this Pepto-pink knit, which provides a shape I’m confident I will feel comfortable wearing (the sweater silhouette) while debuting something I’m unfamiliar with (the color). Paired with standard black jeans and a sophisticated shoe, it provides all of the key factors I’m looking for in an easygoing outfit: playfulness, class and comfort.
