Paris Underground in Aspen
For an eclectic and exceptional mix of ooh-la-la treasures gathered from Europe and beyond, check out Aspen’s Paris Underground. Owner Laura Blocker opened in 2001 after she discovered her passion for midcentury modern French antiques and accessories. Today, she has taken the shop fashion-forward with of-the-moment tabletop items, accessories, and gifts, in addition to commissioning French and Italian artists to produce exclusive pieces for the store. I went gaga over their Limoges plates by Faïencerie Georges (a French husband-and-wife team) in five shapes and sizes ($75-$565), featuring sketch drawings of skiers, hikers, cyclists, and fly-fishermen.
