Make A Wish Hosts New Event Granting Wishes to Nearly 100 Wish Kids

First Annual Make a Wish Whiskey, Wine & Wishes event marked the nonprofit’s 40-year anniversary

On April 20^th, Make-A-Wish Colorado hosted its first annual Whiskey, Wine & Wishes event, presented by PDC Energy. More than 700 guests joined in the fun at the Mission Ballroom, which marked the nonprofit’s 40-year anniversary. Guests enjoyed hearing from wish alumni about the amazing impact a wish can have on a child battling a critical illness, and watching as legendary football player Peyton Manning received the Wish Hero award for his ongoing support from wish alum Myles who met Peyton as part of his wish to attend an Indianapolis Colts game. Andrew Marshall, a wish alum who went on to be a “Top 17” contestant on Season 20 of The Voice, set the musical stage and country rock band Shane Smith & The Saints got the dance floor shaking with a full show to end the evening. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of sponsors and community, the nonprofit netted $700,000 and is already making plans for a similar event next year!
