Lulu’s Furniture & Décor Wins “Best Home Décor Store in the West”
The award was presented at the 33rd Arts Awards Gala event
The Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, announced Greenwood Village’s Lulu’s Furniture & Décor as the winner of the “Best Home Décor Store in the West” award at their January 6, 2023 gala. The 33rd ARTS Awards Gala was hosted by celebrities Thom Filicia and Carson Kressley, and the gala was held at the Hilton Anatole hotel in Dallas, TX. Sharon Davis, executive director of ART says, “The event is a heartfelt evening of celebration for the industry and the creative leaders who are honored.”
Founded in 1988, ART is a network of home décor professionals who collaborate and combine their vast experience and diverse backgrounds into resources that will educate, promote and support the home furnishings industry. A panel of industry experts judges the competition. Category winners are announced live at the gala.
Lulu’s Furniture & Decor co-owners Christy Brant and Caitlin Brant Marsh were on hand to receive the award in person. “We could not have been more surprised,” Brant says. “This is the third time we have been nominated and our first win. To have been recognized with this award is a really big deal for us,” she explains. Brant and Marsh both confess to being completely thrilled, and Marsh points out that winning the award “has given us a renewed sense of passion for our industry and store.”
Owned by a mother-daughter duo, Lulu’s has been in business for 16 years. Lulu’s operated in five previous metro locations before finding their “best and final spot” in Greenwood Village. Their clientele is built and sustained by those who appreciate and support small businesses for the unique products and services they can offer. “Things are very different now from when we started,” Brant emphasizes. “We contemplated quitting during the pandemic, but we really didn’t want to leave our business on those terms. We found this location, which just turned out to be a great spot.”
Lulu’s carries a full selection of décor items and gifts. As customers quickly discover, it’s also a one-stop shop for a complete selection of furniture, finishes and fabrics. “Our clients find that personalized design doesn’t have to cost a fortune,” says Brant. “A personalized look can actually be very affordable.”
