Fourth of July on the front range… nearly half a million Coloradoans participate annually in what’s become an Independence holiday tradition for the arts: the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Now in its 25th year, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival weekend is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts. Thinking of coming and out and joining the fun? The schedule is full of activities—here are a few of the highlights you won’t want to miss.
THURSDAY, JULY 2
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Artist preview, live music and “silver soiree” celebration. Free to the public. Join the fun on Clayton Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. This pre-opening event kicks off the 25th anniversary of the festival.
FRIDAY, JULY 3
10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Festival opens! Location: Denver’s Cherry Creek North Shopping District, from 2nd to 3rd Avenues, on the six streets between Clayton and Steele Streets—that’s nearly a ½ mile of award-winning art to see and consume!
FRIDAY, JULY 3
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Festival night at Janus Main Stage. Hear Bands DaddyBlue, Biff Gore, Chase ‘N the Dream, Motown, Old School.

ARTivity Avenue
Location: Steele Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. A full block of interactive activities including a fun Cirque du Soleil interactive video experience. Additional ARTivities include:
- Imagination Collaboration Mural – “Be a Part of Art” at this exciting mural painted by the community; show off your inner Picasso!
- Creation Station – An art playground tailored to younger children and features numerous, diverse and creative art activities, designed to engage the mind and the whole family.
