Excelsior’s 2016 Triumphant Woman Award
Excelsior will host its fifth annual Triumphant Faces Gala on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 5:30 pm at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel to benefit youth and families in Colorado who have suffered unimaginable adversity and are striving for a better future. Honored at the event will be Colorado’s own Amy Van Dyken Rouen, six-time Olympic Gold Medalist, named as Excelsior’s 2016 Triumphant Woman.
Amy Van Dyken Rouen has been selected to receive Excelsior’s Triumphant Woman award to recognize her strength and resilience in overcoming adversity in her life and career. Not only did Amy triumph over debilitating asthma to win six Olympic Gold medals, but she is currently persevering through the most challenging setback of her life. In June of 2014, Amy severed her spinal cord in an ATV accident leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Her positive attitude and resilient spirit through this tragedy has inspired the world. Excelsior is proud to honor Amy Van Dyken Rouen as their 2016 Triumphant Woman.

The 2016 Triumphant Faces Gala Kickoff Party
With former Bronco Reggie Rivers as Emcee, the 2016 Triumphant Faces Gala will be a Speakeasy Soirée chaired by Tina Lovelace Sporkin and Ashley Prust. The event will begin with a cocktail reception and robust silent auction, followed by an incredible dinner, live auction and remarks by Triumphant Woman Amy Van Dyken Rouen. Later in the evening, local talent Queen City Jazz Band will take the stage as the headline entertainment while specialty speakeasy lounges are revealed in the back of the Ballroom! These sponsored lounges will delight guests with alluring themes, enticing activities and signature drinks. Tickets are on sale now at www.triumphantfaces.org.
