Don't Forget to Get Serious With Play

The Denver Art Museum exhibit closes on August 25

Serious Play: Design In Midcentury America at the Denver Art Museum currently displays 40 unique, groundbreaking artists of midcentury design– from bold, colorful armchairs to innovative patterned textiles. The exhibit features midcentury works of paper, models, textiles, furniture, ceramics, films, products and even board games.

The whimsical exhibition is on display until August 25, 2019, but there's another chance to interact with the exhibit and fundraise for the museum.

After a more than two-year hiatus, Design Council of the Denver Art Museum is proud to present Design After Dark: PLAY, a party and fundraiser for the Department of Architecture and Design on Saturday August 24, 2019 from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Held in the iconic Hamilton Building, Design After Dark celebrates the closing of Serious Play: Design In Midcentury America. Guests will enjoy midcentury-inspired hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, as well as amusing decor created specifically with PLAY in mind.

Additionally, playful objects—created by local creatives specifically for this event—will be available for purchase during the course of the evening.
