Dine at This New Denver Hot Spot
Of a Kind in Cherry Creek is a must-visit restaurant
Of a Kind, the new signature eatery located in the Clayton Members Club & Hotel in Cherry Creek North is exactly the type of restaurant downtown Denver needed—an elegantly modern eatery with a rotating seasonal menu.
Chef Brandon Duley—who hails from my all-time favorite L.A. restaurant, Gjelina—describes his concept for Of A Kind as “Mediterranean California-coastal inspired, which,” he concedes, “covers a lot of ground with geography, but it all shares fresh, bright flavors, and high acid.”
Duley’s menu features lots of herbs, spices, and grains, as well as house fermented and pickled products. Wood-fired pita features prominently and is the perfect complement to the restaurant’s dips.
Highlights of our visit included the Labneh with Blackberry Currant Gastrique and House-Made Dukkah and the Mint Chicken Shawarma.
Duley credits the Gjelina group for the wood-fired experience, and his fermented and pickled vegetables. “Those things are a big part of who I am as a chef today,” says Duley.
