CherryArts Board Names Holly Scott Chair
Holly Scott, vice president of WiesnerMedia and group publisher of Mountain Living and Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, has been named board chair of CherryArts for 2018, announced Tara Brickell, executive director.
“We are thrilled to announce Holly Scott as the incoming chair of the CherryArts Board of Directors,” Brickell says. “Holly brings an energetic and creative leadership style to the organization, along with a deep dedication to our mission of providing access to art experiences and supporting arts education in Colorado.”

Scott became a member of the CherryArts board in 2015 after working with the organization since 2001 when she joined Mountain Living magazine. WiesnerMedia’s Colorado Homes & Lifestyles and Mountain Living are media sponsors of CherryArts’ popular three-day summer Cherry Creek Arts Festival
"I feel strongly about the importance of arts education,” Scott said. “Exposure to the arts aids in social development, emotional intelligence and academic success. And celebrating art immersion in our communities brings people together."
CherryArts’ founding event, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, is an award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts with an annual attendance of 350,000 visitors. Special exhibits, art and culinary demonstrations and interactive family activities on Artivity Avenue complement the festival experience. The 28th annual event will take place July 6-8, 2018.
Since 1991, the CherryArts 501c3 nonprofit mission provides access to arts experiences and supports art education via the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, CherryArts Festival at Stanley and statewide art education programs. For more information, visit www.CherryArts.org.
