Submit your sketches in honor of Jacques Benedict, the esteemed early 20th Century Denver architect

ICAA Rocky Mountain Chapter presents “Sketching Benedict Saturday: An Exploration of Jacques Benedict’s Works.”

Every Saturday morning, ICAA RMC posts info and images to their Instagram (@icaarockymountain) of Jacques Benedict’s work, calling for participants to create their own sketches.

Jacques Benedict, the esteemed early 20th Century Denver architect, graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, produced nearly 80 Beaux Arts style buildings in the Rocky Mountain region. The classical proportions, restrained ornamentation and unmatched beauty of Benedict’s designs continue to serve as an enduring source of delight and inspiration.

How to Participate:

1. Using any medium, sketch one, two or all of the images provided. Have your kids, significant other or roommates participate, too! All skill levels welcome.

2. Take a snapshot of your sketch and post it to your Instagram by the following Wednesday. Include a little note about your sketch and the following tags: @icaarockymountain #sketchingbenedictrmc
