An Ode to Gloss

KGA Studio Architects’ Jerry Gloss is getting recognized for all the great work he does in Colorado. Jerry was recently inducted into the Best in American Living Awards™ (BALA) Hall of Fame during the annual NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando. The Hall of Fame honors innovative, well-respected individuals and companies in the building industry who have significantly affected residential design and construction. Jerry, a senior and founding partner at KGA Studio Architects PC in Louisville, Colorado, is one of only three honorees this year. In BALA’s words: “Jerry’s leadership has created a legacy of excellence in residential design.” Well deserved, sir! And congrats from all of us at Colorado Homes & Lifestyles!

We’d also like to add more KGA kudos (with a special shout-out to Director of Design John Guilliams) for winning the Building Industry Community Spirit Gold Award at The Nationals 2018 for its John Zay Guest House expansion (above). This addition included 11 mini-suites that serve as homes away from home for outpatients and their families at Penrose Hospital and Penrose Cancer Center in Colorado Springs.
Along with that great news, we offer a correction. In the March 2018 print edition of CH&L, we made a mistake in our story on KGA Studio Architects’ Paul Mahony. We said that Paul became president after the 2014 retirement of Jerry Gloss. Paul is president at KGA Studio Architects, while Jerry serves as senior partner and principal.
