An Italian Feast in the City

Making my way into Tavernetta, surrounded by modern hotels, sparkling buildings and a rail-line canopy overhead, I felt palpable excitement at the new face of Denver. Union Station is abuzz, and the addition of Tavernetta is another check in the asset column for this chic, emerging area. The duo behind Boulder’s Frasca—Bobby Stuckey and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson—have brought an upscale fine-dining experience to our city, with refined art, a bustling exhibition kitchen in the center of the multiroom space and a cozy fireplace lounge. Impeccable attention to detail, extraordinary high standards of service and truly wonderful food add up to an excellent night out. We loved the Tagliatelle with Maine lobster, Calabrian chile, preserved tomato and celery.
