All About Comfort
Loungewear and athleisure that I’m loving (and how I’m keeping sane)
It’s been two weeks since I have been working from home. Sitting at my makeshift office desk (formerly known as my makeup vanity) in my Capitol Hill apartment, the cabin fever is slowly beginning to creep in. My life has recently followed as such:
- Make my bed
- Treat myself to a cup of coffee before work
- Commute two feet from my bed to my desk
- Rinse and repeat
I can’t say I’ve lived up to my fashion expectations in the last 14 days–hello scrunchies, old t-shirts and disheveled hair. But, in the last few I’ve attempted to establish some normalcy to this disruption of day-to-day life. I’ve made a point to actually get up and put some effort into getting ready, even if it means putting on another set of comfy clothes or a tiny bit of makeup. Structure increases my productivity (and it might for you, too!).
With ample online shopping time I have found some worthy additions to your PJ and athleisure collection.
Elephant Print Pajamas with Eye Mask comes in an assortment of print and hues, but I particularly like the blush set with martini and cocktail glasses, $80; shop.nordstrom.com.
This pigment moss Sundry Surplice Jumpsuit puts a contemporary twist on comfort that feels more put together than just sweatpants and a tee, $180; anthropologie.com.
Sustainable and Boulder-made? Sold. The Pact Sleep Set comes in six vibrant colors and is made with 100 percent organic cotton, $50; wearpact.com.
I’m all about representing local business and have grown quite fond of the Fort Collins (and now RiNo)-based Odell Brewing Company’s Sippin’ Pretty beer. The packaging alone is as lovely as the brew, and that’s why I adore this fruited sour Old-School Crewneck for just lounging around, $30; odellbrewing.com.
By far and away my favorite workout set, Gym Shark’s Energy Seamless Collection is the perfect way to look stylish even while sweating. There’s a variety of colors but I’m personally drawn to the pinks and greens, (sports bra) $40 (leggings) $55; gymshark.com.
