Affordable Yet Chic Decor: DENY Designs
I stumbled upon DENY Designs last summer at the Denver Flea, where the company was selling its pillows, canvas prints, mugs, sherpa throws, coasters, and cell-phone cases, all in wild prints and patterns. Since then, their affordable yet chic décor has become a staple in my kids’ rooms. DENY offers a semicustom experience, allowing the customer to select artwork from its gallery (featuring more than 175 artists from around the world) and then choosing how to use that artwork in the home, whether it’s on a shower curtain, duvet cover, credenza, tapestry, clock, mirror, rug, sheet set, tray, or cutting board. Everything is handcrafted in Denver, and there is a 30-day return policy for most custom items (unheard of in the design industry). Check out their showroom, which features a new furniture line, in Denver’s Ballpark neighborhood.
