It’s not always easy to be the little sister, but for the newly opened Sunday Vinyl, being the younger sibling to Tavernetta has worked to its advantage. The new wine bar from Boulder’s Frasca Food & Wine group is just across the walkway from Tavernetta on the Union Station platform, and offers something different from its neighboring grownup dining room.

Semple Brown Design has transformed the former Local(ish) grab-and-go market into a sleek bar that’s ideal for both light bites and dinner and features a vinyl-only music program, with three turntables and an amped-up sound system.

Sunday Vinyl’s extensive European wine list includes more than 20 options by the glass. It’s a perfect spot for connecting with friends and listening to carefully curated, soulful music. Chef de Cuisine Charlie Brooks serves up a tasty menu of snacks and mains. Don’t miss the Roasted Carrots with cashews, pomegranate and mint (my favorite).
