Atop the foothills of Boulder, just minutes from town, sits this architecturally striking home with endless fine finishes and a focus on nature.
The unique 5-bedroom, 7-bath, 8,775-square-foot retreat sits on 7 acres of land, and bends over backwards to infuse creativity, art, and all things natural into every detail.
The entryway aims to make a dramatic first impression with stained-glass front doors, a custom built-in table and mirror, as well as a satinwood niche for displaying artwork.
Perhaps the most unique feature of the home is its indoor waterfall and natural atrium. A stone patio overlooks the waterfall, with a 25-square-foot pond and an illuminated blown-glass flower.
Translucent floating stairs with organic steel railings and LED lighting make the transition from room to room feel like an out-of-this-world experience.
Repurposed hardwood mixture flooring and back-lit onyx panel wall and fireplace adorn the living room, which overlooks the atrium waterfalls. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring even more nature-inspired views to the room.
Wood ceiling panels float above the sitting area, which is also home to custom 4’ x 9’ art-installation niches.
Bamboo cabinets, a 14-foot luminous resin serving bar, glass tiles, and hand-blown glass light fixtures lend to the kitchen’s unique elegance, as well as a magnificent view of North Boulder.
In the dining room, more floating ceiling panels arc over the glass-topped table and suspend custom hand-blow light fixtures. The carpet is custom-made from Nepal. Copper artwork was selected to match the columns.
The 8’ x 9’ wine cellar holds over 600 bottles of wine. A trompe l’oeil mural creates the illusion of a never-ending cave of wine barrels. (One can dream!)
