A Trip to Aspen Design Room

Gone are the days of old skis mounted on the wall. Current trends in mountain-home design have veered away from rustic alpine décor, and Aspen Design Room has taken the lead. Now open two years on Main Street in Aspen, this shop is heavily peddling light, open design with contemporary and modern lines from hip brands such as Lee Industries, Kelly Wearstler, Aerin, Arteriors, Scala Luxury and Armani/Casa. The showroom is expansive, allowing customers to try out a variety of furniture pieces before making a commitment. Sure, a trip to Aspen isn’t complete without a stop at the alluring Amen Wardy Home, but I sure am a fan of this new modernized mountain feel.
