A Sneak Peek of the Denver Modern Home Tour
The tour comes back to the Mile High City on May 20, 2017
The Modern Architecture + Design Society brings its Modern Home Tour series back to Denver on Saturday, May 20, for the 7th year in a row. Residents of the Mile High City get a rare chance to see a curated selection of local modern homes, and meet the architects, designers, and builders that created them. The tour is self-guided and self-driven, allowing guests to explore these modern treasures at their own pace.
Based in Austin, Texas, the Modern Architecture + Design Society was founded was founded by James Leasure in 2010 as Modern Home Tours, to introduce modern architecture and living to people across the nation. With carefully selected architects, neighborhoods and architecture, the MA+DS Home Tours are unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
Participating homes will open their doors from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. All are invited to attend! Supervised children under 12 may accompany their parents free of charge. Tickets are priced at $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the tour.

S Jackson Street, located near Denver’s Observatory Park, is a modern residence blurring the boundary between home and landscape. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors allow the family to seamlessly pass from the indoor main floor to the backyard gardens and pool area. Presented by Arch 11 Inc.

The Jason Street duplex is designed and built utilizing cutting edge building technology standards to achieve high levels of building performance in energy consumption, conservation, and efficiency. The building is clad with cementitious stucco, and locally reclaimed beetle kill pine treated in a shou-sugi-ban style. Presented by Bonsai Design Build.
