A Mess of a Success: 2016 Scleroderma Foundation Food Fight!

The 2016 Scleroderma Foundation Food Fight! was a mess of a success! Participation and generous donations to this year's event raised over $58,000 for scleroderma! In addition to the delicious food and drink courtesy of the amazing chefs and mixologists, former Denver Bronco Reggie Rivers provided the entertainment as Emcee and Auctioneer.

This year’s event hosted a chef competition, where three returning chefs took on rookies in three categories-appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The competition also featured artfully crafted drinks created by amazing mixologists!

Support will help continue the Scleroderma Foundation's mission of (1) providing educational and emotional support to patients such as Amy Johnson who shared her story about the challenges of scleroderma and a recent stem cell transplant, (2) promoting education and awareness of scleroderma, including events such as our upcoming Patient Education Day on October 16 and (3) funding research to find a cure for scleroderma.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of The Scleroderma Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting education, advancing research and providing patient support for this hard disease. This autoimmune disease creates a chronic hardening of the skin and connective tissue; and often causes fibrosis and serious damage to internal organs.
