A Cherry Creek Arts Festival Booth, Inspired
Birdsall & Co. is once again designing Colorado Homes & Lifestyles’ and Mountain Living's tent for the 2018 Cherry Creek Arts Festival!
Taking inspiration from local artist Andrew Woodward’s “Sunlit Fields” painting, Annie and Morgan Huston at Birdsall & Co. found pieces and designs to bring the painting to life for our tent.
After seeing the painting, Annie Huston says she thought of lazy summer afternoons spent under the blazing sun where only light breezes affect the dense atmosphere, a good novel or magazine to pass the time between siestas on a teak bench, refreshing bursts of dark green to break the monotony of yellow grasses burned by the heat, a cool stream somewhere to refresh the air, old barns dotting the soft hills, and the feeling that life there is a warm embrace.
“The pure lines of the landscape are retraced with the simplicity of the choice of material and colors in the display: shades of yellow with contrasting dark green, organic material from boatwood planters, to South Park willow branches, soft teak benches and a splash of water to cool down the space and offer a respite from the summer heat,” says Huston. “What better place to rest and get enchanted by the booklet mobile fluttering in the breeze?”
