A Bowl and a Backsplash
What I'm loving lately
These Beatriz Ball Vida Alegria bowls (above) add gorgeousness wherever you place them. They’re also made from melamine, so they can withstand a tumble. There is nothing about them, however, that feels or screams “plastic.” Instead, they make a chic statement indoors or out. All four colors come in two sizes and, at $18 or $48, are affordable luxury.

I first learned about Fireclay Tile from some press materials they sent a few years ago that included vibrant samples of their tile in a wide selection of shapes and colors. I fell in love with this mosaic for the backsplash behind our cooktop, but we didn’t have room for this picture in the story about my home here. So I wanted to give the Fireclay folks a formal shout out here for A) making beautiful tile, B) packaging it well and C) stellar customer service.
