A Bevy of Interior Tomes

Ray Booth Evocative Interiors bookcover

Two new interior design books out this year have caught my eye: Ray Booth: Evocative Interiors$55, and India Hicks: A Slice of England$50.

With stunning photography and magnificent design, Nashville interior designer Booth delivers a glimpse into his most famous modern residences in Nashville, Palm Beach, Louisiana, New York, Texas and the Hamptons. I love his use of fabrics, open floor plans, and an idiosyncratic mix of art and mirrors.

In her second design book, model, author and lifestyle-guru India Hicks has given us a volume that is just as fun to read as it is to peruse. Hicks documents her British heritage and how that translates into her newly finished English country house in Oxfordshire.

Also on my radar: The House That Pinterest Built by Diane Keaton, $40; Home: The Best of The New York Times Home Section: The Way We Live Now$34; and due out in October, Steven Gambrel: Perspectives, $65.
