As its consecutive Media Sponsor, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles is thrilled to partner again with the Denver Polo Classic presented by Schomp BMW. The fundraising and community partnership event will be held at the Polo Reserve from July 31 to August 2, with renowned polo players and metro-area guests in attendance to support the Denver Children’s Foundation’s efforts to help at-risk, disadvantaged children in our community.

We sat down with Beau Jenkins from The Artisan Team at Guild Mortgage to learn more about what to expect at this year’s event.

This marks the 38th Annual Denver Polo Classic. What does it take to keep an event like this fresh for guests year after year?

Beau Jenkins: One of the things that makes the Denver Polo Classic so special is that polo itself is a unique experience. Most people don’t have many opportunities to watch the sport, let alone enjoy it from such an intimate and exclusive setting. The combination of world-class polo, a beautiful venue and a highly curated guest experience creates something that feels fresh every year.

Beyond the matches, we work hard to elevate every aspect of the weekend. From exceptional food and beverage offerings to exciting live and silent auctions, entertainment and new experiences each year, our goal is to create an event that guests look forward to attending year after year. The Denver Polo Classic has become much more than a sporting event—it’s one of Denver’s premier social and philanthropic weekends.

With three distinct days—Black Tie Gala, Family Day and Championship Day—each drawing a different crowd, how do you tailor the experience for each audience?

BJ: Each day of the Denver Polo Classic is intentionally designed to appeal to a different audience while supporting the same mission. Friday’s Black-Tie Gala is our most elegant evening, featuring a sophisticated atmosphere, incredible cuisine, premium hospitality and a memorable night under the Colorado sky.

Saturday’s Family Day is focused on creating a fun, welcoming environment for guests of all ages. We incorporate family-friendly activities, interactive experiences for children, and programming that allows parents and kids to enjoy the event together.

Sunday’s Championship Day delivers the ultimate polo experience. It’s an elevated, adults-focused atmosphere featuring championship-level competition, premium hospitality, outstanding food and beverage partners and the energy that comes with crowning a champion. Together, the three days create a weekend experience unlike anything else in Colorado.

Beyond the polo matches themselves, elements like the drone light show, Matsuhisa cuisine and live auctions play a big role. How do these partnerships come together?

BJ: One of the unique aspects of the Denver Children’s Foundation is that we are an entirely volunteer-led organization. Our members come from a wide range of professional backgrounds across Denver, and those relationships help us bring together incredible partners who want to support our mission.

Whether it’s a nationally recognized culinary partner like Matsuhisa, innovative entertainment such as our drone light show, or businesses contributing auction packages and experiences, these partnerships are built through the collective efforts of our membership and Executive Director, Adam Cohen. Every year we’re looking for new ways to surprise and delight our guests while creating additional value for our beneficiaries.

As the Denver Children’s Foundation’s premier fundraiser, how does the Polo Classic’s success translate into impact for at-risk youth in the community?

BJ: The most direct impact comes through fundraising. The Denver Polo Classic generates hundreds of thousands of dollars annually that support organizations serving disadvantaged and at-risk youth throughout Colorado.

Equally important, the event provides a platform to introduce new people to the Denver Children’s Foundation and our mission. We often describe our events as an opportunity to “Party with a Purpose.” Guests enjoy an incredible weekend experience while knowing their attendance is helping create meaningful opportunities for young people across our community.
