21 Colorado artists are being recognized at the “Beyond the Western Horizon” exhibition presented by Madden Gallery at the Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA). The exhibition will continue to showcase captivating works of established and emerging artists from across the state until July 31, 2026.

Of these artists, MOA highlights 60 artworks depicting aspects of the American West, including people, animals, landscapes and objects. A display of paintings in oils, pastels and watercolor, along with metal, clay and ceramic sculptures and mixed-media artworks, are also mounted by the nonprofit arts organization.

“For me, it has always been all about the artists, and these artists have never before participated together in a group show,” Cynthia Madden Leitner, the MOA founder and director, says in a recent press release. “Our exhibit is a tip of our hat to several accomplished artists who established themselves on the Colorado art scene more than 40 years ago, and we’ve included some emerging artists, too. Many artists are creating new works for the show, and others are sharing spellbinding pieces never previously exhibited.”
