Elegant ideas, from bath accessories to cooktop to jewelry you can’t lose
There’s something very pleasing about a lovely place to dispose of your trash. Also lovely is to not have to see the cardboard tissue box in an otherwise beautifully curated space. Dana Gibson offers a wide selection of solutions to both of these issues—stripes, florals, geometrics, animal prints and even the occasional empress appear in her designs. Tissue boxes are sold separately and start at $65; wastebaskets are $105. danagibson.com
When my friend Stephanie invited me to join her for a jewelry “experience” at Adorned on South Broadway, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Two hours later I walked out with two delicate bracelets literally welded on my wrist. I was delighted! Adorned is a pop-up encounter at CLP Jewelry.
Choose from oxidized sterling silver, or yellow or rose gold; alphabet charms or tiny gem stones are available for added bling. While waiting your turn on the welding machine, sip on some bubbly and browse owner Christy Lea Payne’s curated collection of funky jewelry, art, clothing and more. There are two to three events per month; reservations required. From $58 for sterling silver. clpjewelry.com
As an exuberant home cook, I’m forever on the hunt for the perfect sauté pan. So when the Always Pan ALWAYS PAN popped up on my social-media feeds, I was intrigued. I now happily report I’ve found my dream pan. It’s completely nonstick (you can scramble eggs sans butter), easy to clean and pretty enough to leave out on the stove.
This 2.6-quart pan comes with a lid, a wooden spatula and a steamer basket—everything you need to braise, steam, sear, sauté, fry and boil. I recently made a chicken Parmesan meal—from sauce to meat to pasta—in this showstopper, eliminating a ton of cleanup for my sweet husband in the process. The only caveat is that it can’t go in the oven. fromourplace.com
