Jenny West's Design Faves

The Colorado multimedia artist shares her favorite things, from jewelry to vacations.

JEWELRY:

Ippolita Lollipop Pendant Necklaces. The two I own are a driving inspiration behind the geometric forms in my Dyadic Palette paintings. $995-$2,295.

FRAGRANCE:

The most calming scents I’ve found are from the cruelty-free, NYC-based brand Red Flower. Try the Icelandic Moonflower Isla das Rocas Revitalizing Sea Salt Scrub. $36.

VACATION:
Hotel Valley Ho, a glamorous midcentury resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Swanky with a retro-modern feel (and they carry Red Flower products in guest rooms and the spa).

BAG/PURSE:

I’m not a huge purse carrier, but this textural leather clutch by Marie Turnor is my go-to. I found it at Fred Segal at the SLS in Las Vegas, just before they regretfully closed that phenomenal location. This bag always promises a compliment on the street. Pyramid Stud Lunch Clutch, $310; at shopbop.com

LUGGAGE:

Take it from a frequent flier—I couldn’t travel without my trusty Victorinox bomb-proof spinner. Victorinox Spectra 2.0, 21" Hardside Spinner, $500; at macys.com

CHILDREN'S STORE:
Talulah Jones always offers the sweetest handmade gifts for kids. My two children get immersed in imagination by the colorful, playful arrangement of the merchandise.

FURNITURE:

I just purchased a Knoll Bird Chair by Harry Bertoia. It will be our family’s first major piece in our newly purchased vintage 1966 home in Wheat Ridge. $2,695.

DESTINATION:
The rooftop café at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver is my happy place. As a former volunteer in the galleries, I would dream of what it would be like to exhibit in such a dynamic architectural context.

FLOWER:

Bright yellow dinnerplate dahlias are a staple item in my garden every year. They bring delight to everyone. $26/three bulbs. americanmeadows.com
