Summit Sky Ranch: A Mountain Modern Getaway

This new Summit County community opens doors to families seeking an active lifestyle and breathtaking surroundings

If golf course living is your idea of a summer mountain escape, you won’t find it here. At Summit Sky Ranch, amenities have been thoughtfully designed for today’s active families, including stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking on a private lake, miles of community trails connected to the White River National Forest, Gold Medal fishing on a private stretch of the Blue River, and star gazing in a state-of-the-art observatory.

“Summit Sky Ranch offers the ideal balance of raw natural beauty and thoughtful development for families who love the mountains,” said Tricia McCaffery-Hyon, VP of Sales, IMI Mountain Region. “As the gateway between the town of Silverthorne and the Lower Blue River Valley, Summit Sky Ranch serves as the perfect base camp to explore all that Colorado’s mountains have to offer.“

For ski enthusiasts, Summit Sky Ranch is located five minutes from Interstate 70 with easy access from Colorado’s Front Range, and is 8 miles from Keystone Ski Resort and 16 miles from Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Boasting 416 acres including 60 percent open space, the new development has been coined as “mountain modern” for it’s fresh take on amenities and architecture for single-family living in Colorado’s high country.

Unlike Summit County’s multi-family condo complexes and more traditional log cabin architecture, Summit Sky Ranch offers a collection of 3- to 5-bedroom home designs starting from $595,000. Homes will range between 1,550 square feet to almost 4,000 square feet. Currently, there are 240 homes planned in Summit Sky Ranch.

Summit Sky Ranch is currently accepting reservations and will break ground this fall, with the community’s first homes being completed in Summer 2016.

Longtime Summit County businessman Tom Everist of The Everist Companies is developing Summit Sky Ranch on his family’s pristine parcel of Rocky Mountain wilderness, which the Everist family has owned for two decades.

“I envision a vibrant and inclusive community that brings families and their love for the outdoors together to enjoy quintessential Colorado living, and at the same time preserves the natural beauty of the spectacular Blue River Valley that my family has cherished for more than half a century,” said Everist.

The Everist family first came to Summit County in 1965 and the six-generation family business has been recognized for its environmental stewardship in mine reclamation and has restored numerous Silverthorne lakes from old gravel quarries. Everist has been a strong advocate for creating affordable housing in Silverthorne, contributing significant time and resources to the town and community organizations over the years.

In line with Everist’s values and following steadfast community outreach, the Everist family has developed a vision for every facet of Summit Sky Ranch, which has undergone rigorous review.
