Join renowned interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins at Howard Lorton Furniture & Design for an exclusive to-the-trade session and a public ASID event.
Renowned interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins is returning to Denver in partnership with Howard Lorton Furniture & Design for an eventful weekend. On Friday, November 21, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, an exclusive to-the-trade session for interior designers will take place. The following day, November 22 at 11 am, a public ASID event open to all design enthusiasts will be held. Both days, guests can meet Corey and get copies of his new book Design Reimagined signed.
We sat down with Howard Lorton Furniture & Design’s Vice-President of Operations Margot Cook to tell us more.
CHL: What is Howard Lorton Furniture & Design’s connection to Corey Damen Jenkins and his furniture designs with Hancock & Moore?
MC: Howard Lorton Furniture & Design and Hancock & Moore share a long-standing partnership built on mutual appreciation for craftsmanship and design. We are proud to be one of the largest Hancock & Moore dealers in the country. Many of the showroom pieces at Howard Lorton’s are hand-selected directly from High Point Market, often called the “fashion week” of the furniture world.
When Corey Damen Jenkins began designing for Hancock & Moore, it was a natural fit for our showroom and our clients. His designs bring a distinctive sense of sophistication, color and storytelling that align beautifully with the Hancock & Moore legacy.
We first hosted Corey in November 2023, and we are thrilled to welcome him back in November 2025. During his last visit, Corey shared invaluable insights with designers about the importance of cultivating trusted partnerships early in their careers, a principle we share deeply at Howard Lorton’s. We’re honored to be one of those partners representing his exceptional designs.
CHL: What can attendees expect from the event at your Denver showroom?
MC: At the designer session, Corey will discuss his creative journey, the founding of his world-renowned firm, and how he built his celebrated brand with authenticity and vision. Known for his generosity and mentorship, Corey believes that sharing knowledge strengthens both individuals and the design industry as a whole.
Attendees at both events will have the opportunity to meet Corey in person and have copies of his newest book, Design Reimagined, personally signed. Books will be available for purchase at the showroom, or guests may bring their own copies if they prefer to purchase in advance. It’s an inspiring opportunity to learn, connect and celebrate design excellence.
CHL: Why is it important for designers and the public to meet the creators behind the pieces they love?
MC: Meeting the creators offers a deeper understanding of the artistry and intention behind every design. Hancock & Moore represents the pinnacle of American craftsmanship, where every stitch and finish tells a story of skill and dedication.
For designers and homeowners alike, understanding this process reinforces the value of investing in quality, pieces that are not only beautiful but built to last for generations. Events like this one help connect people to that craftsmanship and the human creativity that sustains it.
CHL: What do you hope guests will take away from this event, both as design enthusiasts and as members of the Colorado creative community?
MC: We hope they leave inspired, not only by Corey’s artistry but by his generous spirit. Corey embodies creativity with purpose, he shares openly, uplifts others and reminds us that design is ultimately about improving people’s lives through beauty and function.
As Corey said in Galerie Magazine, “If I was lucky enough to climb the ladder, I’d leave it down for others to follow.” That sentiment perfectly reflects what we value at Howard Lorton’s, a culture of learning, mentorship and community.
CHL: Is there anything else you would like to share?
MC: We are blessed to call Corey Damen Jenkins a friend and partner. He is a gift to the world, and Howard Lorton Furniture & Design is honored to share that gift with the Colorado community we have proudly served for 98 years.
