A Midcentury Boulder Clubhouse
What makes a condo a luxury condo? On top of a great location, gorgeous views, a spacious layout, and top-of-the-line design, it’s the convenient and indulgent amenities that seal the deal. The condos at Peloton West—a unique collection of previously unreleased and reimagined luxury units nestled in the heart of Boulder, Colorado—boast quite a few advantages. The Peloton West website’s list of lifestyle perks include “a rooftop pool, state-of-the-art gym, and on-site dining,” wittily adding, “The only thing you’ll have to be flexible about is yoga.”
For Sybille Zimmermann, the interior designer tasked with revamping Peloton West's 9,000-square-foot private clubhouse, there was still a good deal of flexibility required to bring the space new life. Hailing from Studio Zimmermann in Los Angeles, Zimmermann took on the balancing act of not only pleasing the community who’ve lived in the Boulder condos for years, but also attracting a new crowd’s attention.
“Being from California, I really wanted to bring a more modern, refined aesthetic,” Zimmermann says. “It was a tricky project, trying to appeal to everyone.”
The result is a midcentury clubhouse that’s chic and yet relatable. “Although it’s modern, it’s not a ‘hip’ look,” she says. “It feels—and will feel—relaxed with time.”
