A Guide to Telluride

I’m in love with Telluride. I literally have butterflies in my stomach as I’m driving into the stunning box canyon. If you haven’t been, I strongly suggest a trip to this magical town. Round-trip, nonstop flights from Denver to Montrose are about $560, and you can either rent a car or pick up a shuttle for about $50 for the 65-mile drive. The Telluride airport is right in town, but flights are even pricier. If you have the time, the scenery along the seven-hour drive from Denver will remind you why you chose to live in Colorado.

COFFEE:
The Coffee Cowboy. Yup, the best coffee in Telluride is offered in a truck on the side of the road.

AVOCADO TOAST:
Ghost Town. Get the #2.

DAY HIKE:
Jud Wiebe Trail for amazing views and a doable 3-mile length.

BEST BIKE TRAIL:
The singletrack Galloping Goose Trail. Perfect for first-time mountain bikers.

LUNCH:
The Butcher & Baker Cafe for stellar sandwiches and salads. The crispy tofu is a must.

GARDEN SHOP:
Gardenstore. Beautiful flowers year-round.

WOMEN'S CLOTHING:
Scarpe. Every one of my favorite brands under one roof.

COCKTAILS & TAPAS:
There Bar. Free popcorn to accompany mind-blowing cocktails and appetizers.
