The quality of the chefs’ bites at the tour matches the caliber of the resort from which they come. Viceroy Snowmass, built in 2009, received a multimillion dollar renovation in 2019. The result is a mid-modern, high-end mountain resort with all the little touches one expects from a luxury property.

From the lobby to the pool, guests feel as though they are at the front and center of an opulent magazine spread. Stone, leather, wood and marble blend seamlessly into an interior design theme fit for royalty, or in this case, a viceroy.

A spa, fitness center and yoga studio are in the wellness center. Plus, there is 5600 square feet of meeting space, whether for an elegant mountain wedding, or a conference. The saltwater pool and terraced hot tubs are the jewel of the Viceroy, and are welcoming year round. An outdoor bar in the pool area becomes the center of summertime amusements.

A ski-in/ski-out property, Viceroy is also a hike-in/hike-out property. Snowmass is a wonder of summer trails like the steep Vista Trail that connects Elk Camp to the base area. Or, guests can ride the gondola to Elk Camp and enjoy an array of activities.

Biking is extremely popular, but more low key activities are available including everything from a disc golf course to hiking. The kids will love the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster at Elk Camp, or a rope course and climbing wall.

Snowmass is a dog-friendly place, and so is the Viceroy. In fact, Fido will feel welcome by their pet gift that includes items like a collapsible water bowl, treat and doggie bags. The village is so dog-friendly in fact that dogs are allowed on the gondola, making hiking with a pet a breeze.
