The Colorado Impact Fund Art Program
Denver filmmaker Amie Knox is known for her documentaries on artists, but lesser known is her creation of an art program. “It’s kind of a pro-bono boost to emerging artists,” she says. “I work with them to choose a selection of their work that would show well, and then I host a reception.” The art is showcased in a downtown Denver office building that houses the Colorado Impact Fund, a venture capital firm that invests in Colorado companies. It’s a partnership that makes sense, says Knox, in that she is curating up-and-coming artists who are in the early stages of their work. The current exhibit features Bill Brown, a former engineer who made the jump to full-time artist two years ago. There’s only one caveat: To visit the Colorado Impact Fund you need to make an appointment via email to info@coloradoimpactfund.com. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 1555 Blake St., Denver.
