Built by McLain Construction, the home’s exterior is clad in stone with cedar accents. The roof is standing-seam metal with built-in lightning protection. Feeney stainless steel rail systems were used both outdoors and inside for their durability and see-through design, preserving unimpeded views.

The main entry gate welcomes guests with charming custom metalwork. Exterior surface snowmelt keeps the driveway and other pavement clear and dry during the winter.The dwelling’s interior is a continuation of the exterior design using matching stone accents. Wood tile plank floors with radiant heat are found throughout.

Ceilings are tongue-and-groove and white oak millwork is a beautiful complement. A Savant Home Automation system keeps everything running smoothly. Automated window coverings ensure privacy and solar and battery backup maintain uninterrupted power access.

“The kitchen is sleek and clean,” says Phil McLain, owner and senior project manager at McLain Construction. “Efficiency is prioritized with a Wolf range, Thermador refrigerator and freezer and a built-in Miele coffee station. Granite countertops and backlit slabs add form and function.” The kitchen island seats three for informal, eat-in meals. The formal dining area adjacent to the kitchen seats eight.

The main living area is anchored by a dramatic fireplace flanked by built-in shelving. Furnishings are plush and comfortable, providing a cozy base from which to admire the breathtaking scenery. “Accordion glass doors make opening the space to include the outdoors easy and convenient,” says McLain.

Upper-level living includes bedroom suites with en-suite bathrooms. Outdoor living space is accessible there as well, adding a niche for private relaxation. A glass breezeway leads to an art studio and fitness room. The lower level contains a caretaker suite, a guest bedroom, a home theater and a den.
