Renovation Inspiration
A friend of mine asked me if I was nervous to show our house in the magazine. And my answer was an easy “no.” I believe houses should be personal and reflect the needs and wants of the people living in them. It’s a home, not a showcase.

M.C. Vincent (in gray) and me on our first day working together at CH&L. Everyone who meets M.C. basks in her particular brand of sunshine. Especially me. I wrote about buying her house, here.
My husband, Scott, and I have created a house that’s a reflection of who we are, what we love and what we hope to share with those we welcome in. Our story is also about carrying on the legacy of a home owned by your best pal (above). My goal in the feature section of the magazine is to show real living spaces that support active Coloradans and reflect their lives. In that way, our house proves the rule.

Another case in point is the home of Momoko Morton and her husband, Chris, who rescued a Denver house from years of neglect (above).

Also, one of my favorite Boulderites and one of our first Circle of Excellence winners, architect David Barrett, redesigned a ranch for Cara and Vajra Rich (above). One look at the shots and you’ll want your family there.
